The Anaconda is a large snake found in the tropics of South America. Anacondas are also called Water Boas. One can grow as long as 30 ft (9 meters) or more. The anaconda is the largest snake in the western hemisphere. A tropical anaconda has olive green skin with black rings or spots. It lives in the tropical forests and rivers of South America.
It lives in the South American tropical rainforest. The anaconda lives in the West Hemisphere. It can live in water or a big strong tree to hold it.
The anaconda can also live on the ground. Anacondas eat bats, rats, tigers ,leopards, jaguars, cheetahs and smaller snakes. The anaconda cares for it’s young by killing it’s predators and wrapping around it’s eggs. It protects itself by choking it’s predators. It’s predators are big pigs and people.
