Black Tree Monitor

My animal is the Black Tree Monitor Lizard. It is black and grey in the sun light. Black tree monitors have a medium sized tail with four legs and sharp teeth and claws

My animal lives on branches and grass. Monitors live in South American rainforests. Sometimes black tree monitors live in trees.

The black tree monitor eats bugs, smaller lizards, small mammals, scorpions eggs, and nesting birds. It uses it's sharp claws and teeth to hold it's prey.

The black tree monitor keeps it’s babies at seventy-five degrees. The young will take eighty days to hatch and then they are cared for till they are 3 months old.

The black tree monitor is not an endangered reptile.
