Kaytdid

Did you know Katydids are in the cricket family? If you don’t know much about Katydids then this the right place to look. You should have katydids as pets because they’re so unique.

Katydids are fascinating to look at. Katydids are unique because they have ears on their feet and swim backwards. Their bodies come in different colors but my two favorite are pink and green. Katydids have six legs. Now you can locate a Katydid in your backyard.

Katydids habitat will make you go wild. Katydids live in red maple trees for the hot climate. They live in water for the dampness. Katydids live in White oaks so they have a place to put their eggs were not many enemies live. There’s a lot more to learn about their habitats.

Katydids must be really disliked. They eat twigs for the hard crisp crunchiness. Katydid’s most common enemy is the poison ivy. It’s kind of weird but katydid’s enemy is sweet gum. Another enemy is the blue jay. Were you see poison ivy you could probably see a katydid.

Katydid’s life cycle is amazing. Katydids have incomplete metamorphosis. They go through the egg stages which the adult lays. Next the egg hatches into a nymph. The final stage is the full grown adult. Life cycles are never ending patterns.

Katydids are fascinating insects. Your jaw would drop if you saw one. Katydids are meaningful to this world.
