Hi, my name is Meghan and I’m going to tell you all about Leopards. Leopards are medium sized big cats. Leopards are mammals. We are mammals too. Leopards are yellow with dark spots. Leopards are carnivores and that means they eat meat. Leopards are predators of other animals. Leopards are seriously endangered!
Leopards live in mountains, deserts and rainforests. Leopards live in South America. Usually, Leopards live in branches of trees, but sometimes they live in caves.
Leopards hunt for food, they can trap and kill the enemy and then they eat it. Leopards eat meat like antelopes, deer, sloths and other animals! Leopards can eat animals twice it's weight!
My animal reproduces alive. Leopards can have 1-3 cubs in 90-100 days! Leopards gives milk to the cubs. Cubs are let go in 3-5 years! That’s a long time!
A Leopard protects itself by hiding in dark places like trees in the canopy and caves! Most leopards prefer to live on the forest floor.
