Some wolves make den's but not in the Arctic. The ground is frozen solid in the Arctic and the wolves aren't able to dig. Arctic wolves have to make their homes in rocky caves. All wolves live in packs. Usually 6 to 7 wolves stay in a pack together. A male is used as a leader of the pack. Once a year a female has about six pups. Each member of the family has a chance to teach the pups how to hunt hares, seals, birds, muskox, calves and even caribou. For lots of years humans did not like Arctic wolves. Scientists figured out that an Arctic wolf is a misunderstood animal. Wolves like to pounce on other wovles for fun. Arctic wolves take turns hunting for their food.
