The quetzal hunting procedure is to jump from branch to branch catching whatever it can pick such as fruit and small frogs.
The female lays 1-2 very light eggs. The male faithfully incubates them but both male and female help to feed their young.
The predators of the Quetzal include the kinkajou, gray squirrel, the ornate hawk, and the eagle. The Quetzal is not an endangered animal.
