Ermine - Summer Ermine - winter
Ermines are part of the weasle family. During the summer, the ermine fur goes brown. In the winter its fur turns white, except for its tail. Their tail is always black. Their pelts can be used to make coats. Ermines make their homes in underground holes. The ermine is preyed upon by owls and martens. The ermine is a carnivore. They keep really busy looking for rodents to eat. They eat insects, birds, mice, rabbits, hares, squirrels, any dead meat they can find, and berries. The ermine can chase its prey in narrow tunnels.
